I'm James Deeks — I started Mote to build the kind of sites I kept not seeing: fast, considered, and unmistakably made for one brand.
Most small businesses get handed the same template with their logo dropped in. I do the opposite — every project starts from the brand, the room it lives in, and the people it's for, then gets built from a blank file.
I have a BCSc in computer science, so the sites aren't just nice to look at — they're hand-coded, quick to load, and easy to run. No page-builder bloat, no plugins to babysit.
It's all concept work: five fictional brands, each a real design study in a different world. They exist so you can see the range before we ever talk.
